DW Plastics are worldleaders in in-mould labelling for crates.
INMOULD LABELS
- Inhouse development of labels
- Inks on PE foil
- Varnish top coat
INJECTION MOULDING PROCESS
- The inmould labels are put in the robot in piles
- The robot takes the labels out of the pile 1 by 1 in order to place all 4 at the same time in the mould
- Electrostatic charging adheres the labels to the mould
- The head of the robot removes itself from the mould and the mould closes
- The normal injection moulding cycle begins:
- The liquefied synthetic material is injected into the mould
- The warm material at the back of the label ensures good adhesion
- After injection, a cooling period allows the material to solidify
- The mould opens and ejects the crate
- The result is a crate with inmould label
ADVANTAGES:
- High-gloss
- Photographic reproduction
- Larger printing surface vs. screen printing
- Shorter production time
- Metalised-look labels (silver, gold)
